A New Chapter for Georgia: Why I’m Running for Secretary of State
I’ve had the privilege of hearing from Georgians from all walks of life, as I’ve traveled across our great state visiting all 159 counties. From small towns to big cities, one thing is clear: people care deeply about the integrity of our elections. Some say we should move on from the past. Others insist we must continue to scrutinize the 2020 election. For me, however, this issue goes far beyond a single year or a single election. I believe it’s about restoring trust in a system that should be the gold standard of this representative republic.

I’m Kelvin King, an Air Force veteran, a businessman, and a native Georgian. I’ve spent my life serving this country in several ways. Initially as an Air Force Contracting Officer focused on responsible Government spending and procurement to more recently, building my own successful construction company which also serves the public sector. I didn’t always see myself stepping into the arena of election reform. My perspective changed when my wife, Janelle King, accepted an appointment to our State Election Board last summer. Many Georgians know her as a fierce advocate for truth and grassroots engagement. I know her as my supporter, my best friend, and the person who allowed me to see the inner workings of our election system.

Watching her navigate hours of hearings, debates, objections and investigations, something in my gut told me things just weren’t right with our election system here in my home state. Through session after session, I saw firsthand the complexity, the passion, and yes, the dysfunction of our elections system. I realized that while we can’t change what happened in 2020, we also can’t ignore the systemic issues that were exposed. We owe it to every eligible voter in Georgia to ensure that inefficiency, mistrust, and lack of transparency are not the legacy we leave behind.

In particular, over the past year I found a deep and growing mistrust in the Office of the Secretary of State. As the third most powerful seat in our state Government, calls for transparency are too often met with resistance. In my conversations with county election officials, they feel they are caught between political pressure and their duty to serve. Grassroots activists feel sidelined. Analysts and watchdogs, those who work tirelessly to ensure accuracy, have been dismissed or ignored.

Because of these revelations, I could no longer sit on the sidelines. Just like my days playing football at the U.S. Air Force Academy, I knew it was time to get in the game.
So where do I stand?

I stand with those who believe that even a “little” fraud is too much. I support a complete overhaul of our voter roll management system to ensure accuracy and eligibility. I stand with the election workers who deserve support, not suspicion. I stand with business owners who want the Office of the Secretary of State to be efficient, not obstructive. And most importantly, I stand with you; the voter longing for a leader who you can trust to do what they say they will do!

We need clean, accurate voter rolls. We need transparency in how elections are administered. We need to remove unnecessary barriers that hinders business formation, licensing and securities protection. We need a leader who respects the role of “representative” as someone who doesn’t just talk about solutions but implements them.

A Kelvin King candidacy offers leadership rooted in service, business acumen, and a commitment to truth. I’m not here to play politics. I’m here to build bridges, restore trust, and ensure that Georgia’s elections are secure, efficient, and fair for every citizen.
The operations of Georgia’s Secretary of State’s office are too important to get wrong. It affects the very foundation of our state’s economy and the stability of our elections. With strong leadership, we can restore faith in this institution and a system that works for everyone.

Yes, I’m ready to do the work. For our great state of Georgia. For America. And for our future.

Let’s get it right this time.
